Higher Education

Higher Education
Education is a process of teaching, training and learning, especially in schools and colleges, to improve and develop skills. We realized that education is very important to all people around the world. Because education is the way to increase our knowledge and life to be the better person. We can get basic education in kindergarten school and elementary school. Next, we continue to junior and senior high school to start more specific subject like science and social knowledge. Then, the higher education is from the college. College is the highest level of formal education to get more specific details on proffesion or something to research.
In Indonesia, to get a higher education in universities, some people should pay much money. The universities in Indonesia are independent to develop them and the goverment did not subsidize them anymore. So, the universities, public and private, have to find their own fund from the payment of the college student. The goverment, especially national department of education, only has the regulation to get formal education for twelve years. So, going to college to get higher education is a choice for some people, not an obligation. They who not going to take higher education, will find the job to fulfill their daily needs. Beside that, they also want to be a entreprenuer to get more independent in their job.
Some people who want to go to college have many ways to get there. They who want to go to college but do not have enough money, will get the scholarship if they want to register. Scholarship is a facility to somebody who has achievement in education. But, like some wise man said, “no pain, no gain”. They who already get the scholarship to go to college must defend their achievement or score in education to keep the scholarship paying their college. If they can not defend their acievement or their score in college decline, their scholarship will be revoke.
Beside that, there are some people who going to college and have a job to do. The risk is they will get more tired because they have to be focus on two activities. They have to divide carefully the time when they have to work and when they have to study in college. Because if they can not divide it, their study or job will be disorganized, or it can be both. But, all of them are depend in our choice to make whether we going to college or directly to find a job or doing both things together.
Everyone has a different sight in things, including education. But, education itself is to increase the standard of life of human kind. Also, the education is to educate and learn us to become a valuable person in knowledge and morality. Without education, we can not increase our knowledge and our life, create something useful, and doing something to improve our potention. Because all humans live to learn since we are born until we are dead.
